Well, I’ve been gone a bit during the last few weeks.  ND deer opener, MT mule deer and Thanksgiving festivities.  Unfortunately, the only success I had in all three was indigestion from all the grub!  My dad was able to take his first mule deer in over 20 years, so that was pretty cool to witness.  Although it wasn’t a big bruiser, it will put meat on the table for my parents for a considerable amount of time.

I feel fortunate to be excluded from the 27.4 million Black Friday shoppers this year!  I had a nice, quiet afternoon with my dogs, watching football and movies.  My wife, on the other hand, plunged in head first, and ventured out to the mall at midnight.  She returned at 4 am and slept until noon! I hope it was worth it!

So, despite my lack of success afield this year, I do have plenty to be thankful for.  I am blessed to have a loving family, great friends, and excitement for the new year.  I hope you all have a blessed Holiday Season, and wish you prosperity in the New Year!
