We are temporarily suspending services, but will be “on-call” for dental emergencies.
A note from Peter T. Mathison, DDS:
I have put a lot of thought into what would be best for all of my patients, my team, and all of our families to the best of my ability. The American Dental Association has conveyed recommendations for my profession for the foreseeable future. At this time we will be handling all emergencies only for the next few weeks. I have come to this decision based on the information below.
My profession has beyond significant risk for Coronavirus transmission due to the very intimate nature of what we do. I think it’s naive to think it’s not in our town right now. I think morally and socially the right thing to do is to defer elective procedures (small cavities, lack of pain) to the near future to do our part in this fight. We will continue to monitor the situation and will reevaluate our position as things transpire.
I believe it is my duty to ease the potential burden on our hospitals who are truly on the front lines. We will be “on-call” for true dental emergencies (significant pain, swelling) only. I appreciate your understanding in these turbulent times.
My staff and I truly appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call my office, and we will answer to the best of our abilities.
